Sin

I prod and poke the mask you wear
My whips and lashes you must bear
And I stand around as though I don't care
And did so until the last breathe you drew

I beg you, please, the judgement I'll take
I'm too dirty and grimy for your perfect sake
I lie and I break every promise I make
My faults and my failures I know I'll accrue

You're all too forgiving for my type of man
I will take advantage whenever I can
I'll steal all your treasures and take them at han'
You're still and of me you won't even pursue

I'm worthless, please hold me, I have nothing left
My baggage I carry and struggle to heft
I'm sorry for heartbreak and my many theft
It took me a darkness to find what is true

No man nor beast can ever replace
the Love for you and all you face
My fears and struggles, a faint of your trace
compared to all I put you through

I see it now, your breathless charm
and I remain no man of what
came before. Reconciled, I will
follow the one light I see. With
grace I resolve to sin no more
and avoid whatever leads me to
Sin.
