Claire

My dearest darling, oh, do not frown
like rain on softened soil sleep
Your gentleness is what you crown
and possess such beauty through and deep

Your eyes, like the sky yet pine trees stand
and your smile subsides my every thought
Your words, my truth, and you command
my heart beat, my soul, and all I sought

Like water crisp and clear as day
your auburn locks lay live and calm
And if my happiness falls astray
your voice will act as my own psalm

So breathe and fill those hearts with light
for I have gained its fullness filled
My love was blind but you gave it sight
and aged like wine as it distilled
