Beneath your blue lights,
my eyes, tired, try
to balance both the weight
and the breadth of hours lost,
of days spent drudging,
of moments now stilled.
But alas, I sit. I see. I wait.
This may not be my bed,
but my head found this place.
Reliant. You hold me sturdy.

Homage to Wisdom
All hail to her, the Queen of every man!
Whom spoken words of every tongue has praised…
Her prowess serves her since this world began,
when every cloud was formed and sun was raised.
She reigns in power…molds the human mind
to love and ponder mysteries unsought.
Yet, when our limits leave our awe confined,
We come to terms that certitude is naught.
For can we grasp all that she does possess?
Or comprehend the wholeness of her truth?
Humility—does now my heart confess
for she pervades from ancient down to youth.
You are in me…in them, in every soul!
For all eternity, may we extol.

Homage to Wisdom
All hail to her! O Queen of every man!
Her prowess still by every tongue is praised,
from when all time and space...the world began,
and when the clouds were formed and sun had raised.
For who can know the contents of her mind?
Or comprehend the deepness of her thought?
For us, her lovers, are our thoughts confined...
Without humility, our quest in naught.
The power she bestows, that we possess
ought find it’s grounding on the purest truth.
And I, infatuated, now confess
My love for her ‘til aged from my youth
She is in me, in them, in every soul!
For all eternity, may we extol.

That Silenced Timber
Upon the edge of axes
pulse these veins of obedient
and humble servants.
What more must they give?
Abundant air...abodes
struck down for finite fill.
That Silenced Timber
at service to their Maker,
sharing all with neighbor:
Allowing them sustenance,
Providing life's shelter;
Breathing hope into tomorrow.
pulse these veins of obedient
and humble servants.
What more must they give?
Abundant air...abodes
struck down for finite fill.
That Silenced Timber
at service to their Maker,
sharing all with neighbor:
Allowing them sustenance,
Providing life's shelter;
Breathing hope into tomorrow.

Consolation of the Poet
With you before Me,
all choirs obey my baton;
withdrawing itself
that you may hear.
I speak. I rise.
In wholeness I wait.
Peace, our hearts did
find in solace.
Hear! He heralds hope,
healing heartbreak,
humbling haughtiness,
hampering hatred,
heaving humanity's
hindrances.
I am...here.
Patient. Gazing at
you.
all choirs obey my baton;
withdrawing itself
that you may hear.
I speak. I rise.
In wholeness I wait.
Peace, our hearts did
find in solace.
Hear! He heralds hope,
healing heartbreak,
humbling haughtiness,
hampering hatred,
heaving humanity's
hindrances.
I am...here.
Patient. Gazing at
you.

Like Silent Giants
For God made it so--
that they may dominate
all the eye can see.
Rustling--swaying with
every caress of wind;
Cooperating with the silence
and breathing sustenance
for all His creation.
There they stood,
Like Silent Giants,
waiting to be a home
for all who dwell;
giving of themselves
for all who dwindle;
existing in our midst
to dwarf our prideful hearts.
that they may dominate
all the eye can see.
Rustling--swaying with
every caress of wind;
Cooperating with the silence
and breathing sustenance
for all His creation.
There they stood,
Like Silent Giants,
waiting to be a home
for all who dwell;
giving of themselves
for all who dwindle;
existing in our midst
to dwarf our prideful hearts.

Duplicity
Do you hear that noise?
A hissing of the mind
Offering so called happiness
Leaves its victim blind
See that luring sight?
A beauty deep as skin
Powered by emotion
What truly was has been
Feel that rascal pelt?
So from pernicious beasts
For at this point you've lost
And gracefulness has ceased
We all were once but young
And when we know what's true
This Greater Love redeems
Our innocence anew

D252
"Fasten seatbelt while seated"
reads the inscription.
It's grey hue and it's sturdiness
has proven useful. Hinged on either
side and indented to secure my
complimentary pleasure; who ever
needs a SkyMall as a companion?
Mine is in its upright and lock
position prepared to be my
comfort to lean on.
To depend on.
To support.

Prayer of the Poet
In Your Presence.
The song takes flight.
All that once graced ears
was drowned in silence.
Unanswered, unleavened
untampered You sit.
Peace, our hearts did
find in solace.
How hums holy hymns
happening habitually
helping heartfelt homes
hitherto holding His
hopeful happiness.
And here I am.
Locked, fixed on
You.

Deception
Dare not see the light
That leaks on shady plains
For life thirsts for compassion
Which only time obtains
Dare not hear the air
That lurks in echoing caves
For minds hunger forgiveness
Which only time re-paves
Dare not smell the scent
That flows through winding hills
For the heart seeks affection
Which only time fulfills
Think not mal-intentions
Nor actions you'll regret
For beauty isn't worth it
And life's not over yet
